Vikash Jain

Wealth Advisor

MSc, CFA, CFP

Vikash joined Wealth Stewards to provide his clients with independent and unbiased investment management and holistic financial planning, including retirement and estate planning. His clients are largely professionals and business owners with complex financial and tax requirements.

Vikash’s career in finance spans nearly three decades and across many areas of expertise including portfolio management, stocks, bonds, alternative assets, ETFs, commodities, derivatives, and real estate.

Prior to joining Wealth Stewards, he was a securities-licensed advisor with IG Wealth Management, where he provided affluent clients with financial and tax planning advice and investment management.

Vikash began his finance career as an oil industry analyst in Singapore. He returned to Toronto to join Northwater Capital, an innovative pension fund manager specializing in hedge funds and derivatives strategies, where he was part of the trading team managing over $12 billion in pension assets.

He later joined Morguard Corp., a TSX-listed institutional real estate company, as Vice-President of its subsidiary, Morguard Financial, responsible for managing Morguard’s pension assets.

Vikash holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto, and an M.Sc. in Finance from the National University of Singapore, as well two professional designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (2002), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (2021).

In his free time, Vikash enjoys running, fitness training, baking bread, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at his Temple. Also, with two sons in university, he and his wife are adjusting to their new empty-nester status by travelling more and meeting friends for mid-week outings.

What charity or cause is important to you?

It’s hard to learn in math class if you didn’t get breakfast, or if you don’t have the eyeglasses you need to see the board, or if you’re scared about going home to an empty house because your mom is working a double shift. Something like a quarter of kids in Toronto live in poverty. The Toronto Foundation for Student Success does its best to help, and that’s why I support their cause. www.tfss.ca
