Paul Tyers, FCPA, FCA, CFP, CIM
Paul Tyers is the Managing Director of Wealth Stewards Inc., founded in 2006 to serve high-net-worth clients. With designations including FCPA, FCA, CFP, CIM, and a business degree, he provides comprehensive wealth advisory services. Paul and his team work at a fiduciary standard, ensuring clients’ wealth is optimally managed. Internationally recognized, Paul is a published author and has led his team to win the 2017 & 2018 Global Financial Planning Awards.

Akua Carmichael, LL.B. J.D., TEP
Akua Carmichael is Vice President, Estate Planning & Services. She provides customized estate planning and administration solutions. Akua is a lawyer and has extensive experience in estate law, having previously provided estate planning, administration, and litigation services. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Akua also has experience in the wealth management and insurance industries. She is a frequent speaker, writer, and educator on estate and trust issues.

Paul Foster
Paul Foster is the founder and leader of the team at The Business Therapist®. Paul’s business experience began as a trusted advisor (CPA, CA) to small business families as the owner and founder of an accounting firm which he sold after 20 years. Paul completed his first sale of a client’s business when he was only in his 20’s. Paul is the innovative visionary leader driving the growth of the advisory business. His life’s purpose is to bring more cash, freedom and happiness to independent business owners. Paul wants to learn about your toughest business challenges and frustrations so he can help you tackle them!

James Bentley, CFA
James Bentley is a Portfolio Manager at Wealth Stewards and is a member of the investment committee. In this role, he is responsible for completing in-depth due diligence on stock investments and analyzing alternative opportunities with external fund managers. James conducts analysis on investment ideas, developing a full understanding of the opportunities and risks our investments have. While attending University of Waterloo, he interned for a variety of public, private, and governmental enterprises gaining experiences in many different aspects of the finance industry. Since graduating, James has completed the CFA program and became a CFA Charterholder in 2022.

Dave Bunce, CPA CA
Dave Bunce, is the Vice President of Strategic Accounts interVal, a SaaS platform that empowers accounting firms and wealth managers to discuss financial health and actionable next steps with their clients. Holding his CPA, CA designation, Dave was a manager at PwC during the first part of his career. After leaving public accounting, Dave has spent his career as an executive at professional services and technology companies. This gives Dave a unique perspective on how to set up people, processes, and business models to optimize the outcomes technology provides.
